1）In your cups

英文解释：Inebriated with alcohol or drunk.（喝酒喝醉了的）。

In your cups从字面上看是“在你的杯子里”，其实呢，早在《圣经外传》里，有提到这个概念，主要是指在喝酒的时候，喝醉了。

In your cups和之前分享过的under the table，都是指喝醉了酒的意思。

3）A storm in a teacup

英文解释：A disproportionate reaction of anger, concern, or displeasure over some minor or trivial matter.

（对一件小事或琐事表现出不应该有的愤怒、关心或不高兴的反应）。

A storm in a teacup从英文字面上看是“在茶杯里的一场暴风雨”，也就是说，像茶杯这么小的一件事，却要像暴风骤雨一般对待，可见反应过度了。

所以，这个词组现在多指小题大做，大惊小怪的意思。在美式英语中，写作a tempest in a teacup（tempest也是暴风雨或狂躁的意思）。
